Where are tickets available?

Event tickets are available on Eventbrite for all events this year; advanced booking is advised, there may be some tickets available on the door on the nights of events, but this will be subject to availability. Early Bird and Weekend tickets are available also.

When I get to an event, how will I know where I should sit?

You may sit wherever you like once you get to the event. Please arrive about 20 minutes early if you want a better choice of seats, but all our events are unreserved seating.

Is there accommodation available in the area?

Please check out our accommodation listings on the website for suggestions in the area; some are within walking distance to events.

What about coming to the festival on my own?Is there accommodation available in the area?

All are welcome at the Sean McCarthy Festival; you may arrive as a stranger, but we can guarantee you will leave with friends for life.

I don’t drive. How can I get to Finuge?

The nearest bus and train station would be Tralee which is about a 25-minute drive from Finuge Have a look at www.irishrail.ie for timetable and booking.
Tralee is also easily accessible by bus from Limerick, Cork, Galway, and Dublin. Connecting buses travel frequently from Tralee to Listowel via Finuge (route 272) For timetables and booking, visit the Bus Eireann website at www.buseireann.ie.
You can also fly to Kerry from Dublin, Manchester, London and other locations with Ryanair. Car hire and bus/train connections are available for onwards travel. Taxi’s are available also in the area.

Is there anything else of interest to do in the area?

The heritage town of Listowel is a beautiful town only 5 mins away. It features the Kerry Writers Museum, which is well worth a visit, loads of delicious cafes, Lizzies Kitchen, Lynches and restaurants Eabha Jones, Gapos to name a few also to grab a bite. Tralee is a bustling town just a 20-minute drive away and Ballybunion, which is 15km away down the road, boasts one of Ireland’s most beautiful beaches. As Listowel is situated on the Wild Atlantic way, it’s worth looking at www.wildatlanticway.com for more ideas.
